Privacy
The short version: the Caret app runs on your machine and collects nothing. This website only stores the email you give us for the waitlist.

The Caret app
Caret is local-first by design. All AI inference runs on your own hardware through Ollama. The app does not send your text, screen captures, or memory to us or to any third party, and it includes no analytics or telemetry. Your memory is stored in a local file on your device that you can view, edit, or delete at any time.
This website
We keep website data collection to the minimum needed to run a waitlist.
Waitlist email
If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you submit so we can notify you about early access and launch. We use Resend to store this list and send those emails. We do not sell your email or use it for anything beyond Caret updates, and you can ask to be removed at any time.
Analytics
We use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (via Vercel) to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they read. This does not use invasive tracking cookies and is not tied to your identity.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel, which may process standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) as part of serving the page, as described in Vercel's own privacy policy.
Your choices
- You can request removal of your email from the waitlist at any time.
- You can ask what data we hold about you, and ask us to delete it.
